OHP Releases Names Of Child, Man Killed In Cotton County Wreck

The names of two victims in a Cotton County fatality crash have been released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The names of two victims in a Cotton County fatality crash have been released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Keanna Jo Welch, age 1, and Madison Richmond, 22, were killed in the single-vehicle wreck. Both are Temple residents.

Troopers say Richmond was driving southbound on Highway 5 just before 4 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013, when his Chevrolet 4-door vehicle left the road for an unknown reason and struck a concrete culvert. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the OHP.

Passenger Regan Anderson was taken by medical helicopter to an Oklahoma City hospital. The 16-year-old Temple resident was listed in critical condition with head and other injuries.

The 1-year-old child was also pronounced dead at the scene. She was in a child restraint, according to the collision report.

The cause of the collision and driver's condition at the time of the wreck are under investigation, according to the OHP report.
