The Oklahoma State Fair begins Thursday, September 12, at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City. The annual event runs through Sunday, September 22.
While the fair features a number of bands, shows, competitions, and rides, the thing most people look forward to is the food.

This year's fair has vendors serving up the traditional favorites such as Indian tacos, corn dogs and cinnamon rolls; but this year's menu also includes bacon-wrapped caramel apples, wild boar kabob, deep-fried alligator, deep-fried cinnamon roll on a stick, deep-fried Kool-Aid and deep-fried watermelon.

News 9 has a booth at the Oklahoma State Fair. It's located on the north side of the fairgrounds just inside Gate 1, and will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.
Opening day admission on Thursday, September 12, is only $2 for everyone. After that, the cost is $9 for adults and anyone over the age of 12. Children ages 6 to 11 cost $5, and children 5 and under get in free.
