A man who was walking down State Highway 36 in Cotton County, Oklahoma, was killed after being hit by a car early Saturday morning.
It happened at 6:23 a.m. on State Highway 36, just south of U.S. 70 in Cotton County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 76-year-old Hervey Yarbrough of Walters, Oklahoma, was walking in the southbound lanes of highway 36, when he was hit by a 2009 Mazda M3 driven by 58-year-old Juana Correa.
Correa's car was going southbound on highway 36 at that time.
Yarbrough was transported to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he was later pronounced dead.
No one else was injured.
Troopers have listed the cause of collision as "pedestrian action."
