Multiple Vehicles Collide Near Shields Exit On EB I-240

Emergency personnel are on the scene of a multi-vehicle accident on eastbound Interstate 240 at the Shields Blvd. exit.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash, a package truck, a compact car and a trike. 

According to police, one person was transported from the scene to OU Medical Center in serious condition. It is not clear if anyone else was injured.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has closed the outside lane of I-240 while emergency crews work the scene.
