WOODWARD, Oklahoma -- A fire broke out at a gas plant near the town of Woodward, Okla., Sunday morning, causing a scare with local residents.
The Emergency Management Director for Woodward County, Matt Lehenbauer, tells News 9 the fire broke out at a gas plant three miles east of Woodward, at around 10:30 a.m.
The plant is operated by DCP Midstream.

No injuries were reported. It is unclear how much damage the fire caused to the plant. Officials on scene allowed the remaining gas to burn off.
On Wednesday, April 17, a fire at a fertilizer plat in West, Texas resulted in a massive explosion that claimed the lives of at least 14 people and injured another 200+. Officials also say as many as 80 buildings were destroyed by the blast.
