Suspect Crashes Car Into OKC Creek

A suspect fleeing from police early Friday morning lost control and crashed into a creek near S.W. 15th Street and McKinley.

Police tried to pull over a driver for a traffic violation around 2:30 a.m., but the driver took off. During a brief chase, the suspect drove down a 15-foot ditch and into a creek. He tried to run but police quickly arrested him.

The suspect was not seriously hurt. Police have not released his name, and they aren't sure why he tried to run from officers.
