Bricktown’s newest Pub used to be the Ugly Duckling of Bricktown.
Skinny Slims opened its doors a few weeks ago. The small triangular-shaped building is located below the Walnut Street Bridge, one block west of the Bricktown Police Substation. Skinny Slims’ building dates back to the 1920’s, and was once used as a bunking shack for railroad workers.
The building had fallen into disrepair, and had been used mainly for storage in recent years. While it’s only 803 square feet and seats only 50 guests, Skinny Slims’ General Manager Aaron Ellis says he’s got a winner.
“You have got to be a dreamer and a little crazy to walk into a place like this and say this is the space I want,” he said.
