A Granite teen was killed in a rollover accident in northeastern Greer County, early Saturday morning.
The accident occurred on county road 1390, two miles east of state highway 6 in Greer County, just before 1 a.m. Saturday.
According to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 35-year-old Michael Williams was driving a 2001 Chevy Suburban with six other passengers in the vehicle, including the victim.
Troopers say the suburban was heading southbound on county road 2040 when the driver failed to negotiate a curve on onto CR 1390. The suburban went off the road to the left and rolled one and a quarter times and coming to rest on its side.
The front seat passenger, 17-year-old Lacy Green, was ejected approximately 10 feet from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries to her head and neck.
According to the report, no one inside the vehicle was wearing a seat belt. The driver, Michael Williams, was transported to the Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus where he is listed in serious condition.
A third passenger, 37-year-old Jessie Hall, was also taken to Jackson County Memorial. Her condition was not listed.
Two other male passengers, one 18 the other 17 years old, were taken to Jackson County Memorial where they are listed in stable condition. Another male, 14, and female,13, passenger were treated and released at the scene.
Troopers are still investigating the cause of the accident.
