City officials are hosting a community meeting on Thursday to present a preliminary master plan for the MAPS 3 Downtown Park, and discuss phase one improvements. Everyone is invited to attend the meeting.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, in the fourth floor auditorium of the Downtown Library, located at 300 Park Avenue.
According to officials, this is the third community meeting to discuss plans for the $130 million, 70-acre park. The park's designer, Hargreaves Associates, will facilitate the meeting.

"We are in the exciting final phases of the park's master plan process," said MAPS Program Manager David Todd. "Proposed park amenities include a great lawn for concerts and festivals, a lake, walking trails and a large plaza. Details will be revealed at the meeting, so we hope for a good turnout."
Construction is expected to begin later this year.
The park will be made up of a 40-acre upper segment and a 30-acre lower segment which is connected by Oklahoma City Skydance Bridge. The park is within the boundaries of Hudson to the west, Robinson to the east the Oklahoma City Boulevard to the north and the Oklahoma River on the south.
