Oklahoma City's Skydance pedestrian bridge is now taking lighting requests.

Local groups and individuals can request the bridge glow a certain color to bring attention to certain events or causes.

"We don't allow individual birthday commemorations or anniversaries," says Paul Bronson with Public Works.

The city will allow a request of two colors to be on display, free of charge. The Thunder have booked the most nights so far.

The bridge will glow blue for every Thunder home game.

Right now, the OKC Public Works admits the Skydance bridge's lighting system needs maintenance. The clock which determines when the lights come on is malfunctioning.  Lately, the lights have been coming on nearly three hours too late.

Public works say the problem should be fixed next week.
