The East Central University women's basketball team will start a five-game road trip, Thursday, Nov. 15 when they head to Lawton to face Cameron at 6 p.m. in Aggie Gym.
The Cameron Aggies are 0-2 on the season after dropping two games at the St. Mary's (Texas) Classic over the weekend. Cameron first fell to St. Mary's, 49-78, and then to Central Oklahoma, 66-88.
The Lady Tigers, picked to finish seventh by the GAC's coaches, begin this season on a winning note beating Saint Gregory's University 69-51 on Nov. 10. This year's team returns nine players from last year, including all five starters.
The Lady Tigers finished the 2011-12 season with an 8-19 overall record and went 6-10 in their first year in the Great American Conference. During those games ECU averaged 67.0 points per game and allowed 74.7 (-7.7). In GAC play the Tigers netted 68.3 points and allowed 76.9 (-8.6), with the difference being just a few possessions.
The five-game road trip continues next at St. Gregory's, Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. The game is part of a double-header with the men's team at W.P. Wood Fieldhouse in Shawnee.
