Two Cowgirls Named To ITA Rankings

Two Oklahoma State Cowgirls singles players named to tennis preseason rankings list.

Oklahoma State Cowgirls C.C. Sardinha and Malika Rose both earned spots in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's preseason rankings, along with the doubles team of Malika Rose and Kanyapat Narattana, it was announced over the weekend.

Sardinha, a senior from Bradenton, Fla., will begin the season at No. 97 in the singles rankings. Rose, a senior from Miramar, Fla., will start at No. 101.

Rose also made an appearance in the doubles rankings with Narattana. The duo earned a No. 14 ranking.

Along with the rankings, the ITA also announced the selections for the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif. The doubles team of Rose and Narattana were selected to play in the main draw of the event, set to begin on Oct. 4 at the Riviera Tennis Club.
