The Oklahoma State wrestling team will be making a memorable road trip this season. The Cowboys will compete at the Grapple at the Garden on December 16th in New York City's Madison Square Garden.
The nine-team tournament includes fellow power Iowa, along with Ohio State, Nebraska, Rutgers, Maryland, Hofstra, UT-Chattanooga and Bucknell.
The event will mark the first time in the 133-year history of The Garden that it has hosted college wrestling dual meets.
Cowboys head coach John Smith is excited for the opportunity that a venue this prestigious can provide for his team.
"What a great venue for college wrestling. Wrestling can create a good buzz in that kind of setting. This will be a special event for the wrestlers and the fans alike and we're excited to be part of it."
Meets are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. ET and 12:30 p.m. ET, with Oklahoma State scheduled to face UT-Chattanooga in the latter time slot.
