ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico – A late RedHawks rally wasn't enough on Tuesday night as Oklahoma City fell to the Albuquerque Isotopes 7-6 on the road.

The RedHawks nearly let the game get out of control early as Albuquerque scored four runs in the first three innings of the game.

OKC finally got on the board in the top of the fourth on a solo homer from Justin Ruggiano to right field.

The RedHawks' real offense came in the fifth and sixth innings, however, when they combined to score five runs.

Fernando Martinez got Oklahoma City right back in it in the fifth, sending a three-run homer out of right field to score Diory Hernandez and Angel Sanchez.

A ground ball and an error in the sixth helped the RedHawks close the gap completely and tie the game at six runs each.

But in the bottom of the sixth, Albuquerque would have the final say and it would be a familiar face that gave the Isotopes the edge.

With Matt Angle in scoring position for the Isotopes, former OSU Cowboy and Ada, Okla. Native Josh Fields provided the winning RBI.

He put up a sacrifice fly to bring Angle home, giving the Isotopes the 7-6 lead that would hold for the rest of the night.

Mickey Storey got the loss on the mound for the RedHawks after throwing two innings and giving up two runs and three hits.

Brent Leach got the win for the Isotopes.

The loss brought OKC to double digits in the defeat column at 16-10 overall and Albuquerque moved up to 15-11.

The two teams will play again on Wednesday at 7:35 p.m.
