For the sixth time this season, Oklahoma pitcher Keilani Ricketts has been named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week.
Last week Ricketts tallied 20 strikeouts in 11 innings of action while allowing just five hits and leading OU to a 2-0 record.
With this week's honor, Ricketts has earned the award 11 times in her career becoming just the second Big 12 pitcher ever to earn the honor at least 11 times. Former Texas pitcher Cat Osterman is the only other pitcher in the conference to earn the award 11 times or more.
Ricketts opened with five innings of action against rival Oklahoma State and struck out seven of the 22 batters she faced while allowing just one run, one walk and four hits.
In the Sooners second game of the week against Central Arkansas, Ricketts struck out 13 of the 20 batter faced in a six-inning run-rule victory over the Bears.
The two wins move Ricketts to 25-6 on the year.
The Sooners return to action against Big 12 opponent Texas for a three game series starting Friday in Norman at 7 p.m.
