The search for a missing airplane that was headed to Oklahoma Monday night is over.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed the single-engine Piper Comanche was found Tuesday just before noon. The plane had crashed about six miles northwest of Albany, Texas. Two people are reported dead.
FAA and NTSB investigators are heading to the wreckage site to begin its investigation into what happened.
FAA began searching for the plane Tuesday morning. It had departed from Abilene, Texas Monday night and lost contact around 7:30 p.m. near Albany.
