The NBA announced the All-Star reserves Thursday, and Oklahoma City point guard Russell Westbrook was named as one of the two reserve guards for the Western Conference.
The fourth-year point guard is eighth in the league in scoring, averaging 22.3 points per game, as well as averaging 5.9 assists, grabbing 4.8 rebounds and two steals per contest this season. This marks Westbrook's second selection as a reserve, after earning the same honor a year ago.
Joining him as a Western conference reserve are Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Love, LaMarcus Aldridge, Tony Parker, Steve Nash and Marc Gasol. All-Star weekend will begin Feb. 24 in Orlando, Florida, with the All-Star game being played at 6 p.m. CST Feb. 26.
