NOBLE, Oklahoma -- A place where everyone is family, your hands down top pick for the best, and biggest, chicken fried steak in the state is located just a short drive from Oklahoma City. Located in Noble, Kendall's Restaurant is the destination for some of the best home cooked, comfort food in the area.
From chicken fried steak and catfish, to their famous, hot out-of-the-oven cinnamon rolls, served complimentary with every meal, there is certainly something for everyone on the menu. If you're in the mood to try something unusual, then ask for the white BBQ sauce to compliment your meal and, for dessert, try a maple bacon cinnamon roll.
Kendall's, serving up Oklahoma's official state dish for the last 25 years, is more than just a restaurant. Some have also called it a pop culture museum. With over 700 pieces of Oklahoma memorabilia, walking into Kendall's is like receiving a mini history lesson.
So what's the secret ingredient that keeps customers coming back? According to Kim Lock, co-owner of Kendall's, "Some love and a whole lot of butter." If you would like to take on Kendall's chicken fried steak challenge, many have tried, all have failed, head down I-35 to 100 South Main Street in Noble. Kendall's is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am until 8pm. Be sure to bring cash, though, because the restaurant does not accept debit or credit cards.
