DENVER, Colorado -- The trial for former Oklahoma State corner Perrish Cox has been pushed back after his attorney's request for a delay was granted.
Cox was charged with sexual assault against a person who was physically helpless and sexual assault against a person who was incapable of determining the nature of the contact after a 2010 incident. The victim claims that she was drugged as she partied with three Denver Broncos players before she and Cox had sex.
Cox is currently a free agent after being cut by the Broncos in September. In his senior season at Oklahoma State, Cox finished second on the team with four interceptions and led the team with 15 broken up passes. He was also a punt returner, and returned one for a touchdown in 2009.
He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Broncos, finishing his rookie season with 52 tackles and one interception.
