OKLAHOMA CITY -- The players are student-athletes, so every week Dean Blevins hands out grades based on their performance on the field. This week, Dean breaks down the Sooners' 10-point win over Florida State.
The Sooners didn't rack up yardage in their normal numbers, coming away with 310 total yards against the Seminoles, but still scored enough to win the game. Landry Jones threw two interceptions in the game, but scored from one yard out early on, earning the Sooners a B.
Oklahoma kept the dynamic E.J. Manuel in check before he left the game with an injury. The Seminoles quarterback finished with just 134 total yards and threw two picks. His 49 rushing yards were a team-high total, which netted Oklahoma an A for the outing.
Jimmy Stevens was perfect kicking field goals and Tress Way continued to bomb punts, averaging 46.2 yards per punt, which meant Dean gave the Sooners an A for special teams.
