WOODS COUNTY, Oklahoma – A head-on collision in Woods County has claimed the life of a Woodward, Oklahoma man Tuesday morning, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
According to the accident report, 22-year-old Jon Allen Bullard was transported by Air-Evac to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas after the accident, where he died of the injuries suffered in the crash.
The accident happened at 7:21 a.m. According to the accident report, Bullard was driving a 2007 GMC Pickup truck, westbound on U.S. 64. Fifty-one-year-old Ricky Dean Nixon was driving a 2011 Chevy Pickup truck, eastbound on the other lane. Bullard had crossed the center line for an unknown reason, striking Nixon's car head-on.
According to the report, 58-year-old Laurencio Frarie was in the car with Nixon at the time of the accident. Both Nixon and Frarie were taken to Share Medical Center in Alva, Oklahoma where they were treated and released.
Troopers say it is unknown if Bullard was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. The cause of this collision is still under investigation.
