OKLAHOMA CITY -- It's the first week of scrimmages, and the Del City Eagles played host to the Owasso Rams and the Carl Albert Titans Friday in a three-team scrimmage.
Sophomore Anthony Mason showed his ability to change direction and his top-end speed with a 70-yard touchdown run against the Owsasso defense.
Not to be outdone, Carl Albert quarterback Taylor Hawkins called his own number and took the ball 65 yards to set up a five-yard scoring run against the defense of the 6A Eagles.
All three teams start the regular season Sept. 2 with tough matchups, Del City hosts Midwest City, Owasso faces Broken Arrow and Carl Albert Travels to Tulsa, Okla. to face Booker T. Washington.
