STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- On the heels of their most successful season in school history, the Oklahoma State Cowboys broke their public season ticket sales record by midday Friday with a total of 34,534 tickets sold.
The previous record of 34,312 was set in 2009, with names like Zac Robinson and Dez Bryant still on the roster and the matchup with Georgia slated for the season opener. However, this season's mark is 2,500 tickets higher than the 2009 number at this point.
OSU's all-time high was set in 2009 as well, at a mark of 45,694 when combined with student season ticket sales. Oklahoma State students will begin purchasing their tickets next week.
