NORMAN, Oklahoma – Former Oklahoma guard Cade Davis is continuing his basketball career, signing a contract this week to play professionally in Macedonia.

"To play professionally is pretty much a dream come true," said Davis. "I remember in first, second and third grade when we had to write letters to ourselves about what we wanted to do when we grew up. Mine were always about playing basketball, and now that's what I get to do. I guess it's good to write down your goals."

Davis, the leading scorer and co-leading rebounder last season for the Sooners, signed a two year contract Tuesday to play for MZT Skopje.

Skopje is the capital city of Macedonia, located in southeast Europe and Davis said he will report to training camp on August 15.

"I know there's a lot of history and architecture there. I'm anxious to experience the culture," said Davis. "They speak Macedonian, so I think I'm going to have to buy Rosetta Stone and see if I can learn some things."

Last year at OU, Davis averaged 14.2 points and 5.0 rebounds and earned honorable mention All-Big 12 honors. An Academic All-Big 12 First Team member, he led the team in scoring 12 times, including each of the final seven games when he averaged 20.7 points on .527 shooting.

He finished his career with 181 3-point field goals and 1,015 points to rank fifth and 35th in school history, respectively.
