OKLAHOMA CITY -- Greg Treat of Oklahoma City has been elected to fill Todd Lamb's vacant state senate seat.

Five Republicans were vying for the seat vacated by Todd Lamb, who was sworn in Monday as Oklahoma's newest lieutenant governor.

Because no Democrats filed for the post, Treat automatically won the election with 2,074 votes and all precincts reporting. Treat will serve the remaining two years of Lamb's unexpired term and must run again in 2012.

Treat ran against Todd Brawley and Carol Hefner of Edmond, and Steven Dobbs and Kenny Goza of Oklahoma City.
