NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Cleveland County authorities have arrested two men connected to several arson fires and a burglary earlier this month in Norman.
Authorities said Brandon Reed and Michael Ketcham confessed to the burglary of the Transit House at 1100 E. Main Street in Norman. Investigators also said the pair attempted to set the Transit House on fire and also attempted to kill a cat by placing it in an oven.
Cleveland County Sheriff's Deputies said they had located a cat at the crime scene during their investigation and discovered later that it had injuries to its paws.
Deputies said they men were also responsible for setting a vehicle on fire and starting two other fires at a church.
Investigators were able to recovered stolen property from the Transit House and items stolen from a local hardware store.
Reed and Ketcham now face charges of Arson, Burglary, Endangering or Causing Personal Injury to Human Life during the commission of Arson, and Cruelty to Animals.
