OKLAHOMA CITY -- Construction workers discovered something unusual while restoring an old building in Midtown.

A famous graffiti artist from Los Angeles known as "XVALA"  tagged the 99-year-old building that is undergoing renovations.

Developers found a spray-painted monkey accompanied by a quote from pop star Miley Cyrus on the side the old Hadden Hall building at 215 N.W. 10th Street. The quote read "I'm not trying to be slutty," which Cyrus was quoted saying during an interview.

Art experts said finding the hidden street art is a first for Oklahoma City.

"To find this in Los Angeles wouldn't be a big deal but being where it's at in the city on an old 99-year-old building hidden was pretty amazing for him," said Cory Allen, XVALA's publicist.

A decision has not yet been made as to whether or not the developer of the Midtown building plans to preserve the graffiti and make it a permanent display.
