Enid Stabbing Suspect Surrenders to Police

A teen stabbing suspect has surrendered to Enid police after an extensive search.

ENID, Oklahoma – A teen stabbing suspect has surrendered to Enid police after an extensive search.

Enid police said officers were called Saturday to an area hospital about a 16-year-old male who was stabbed. The teen was then taken to OU Medical Center where he was admitted in critical condition.

Through evidence and witness information collected at the crime scene, 2600 block of North Adams, officers and detectives identified the suspect as Matthew "Matt" Scott McReynolds.

A felony warrant for assault with a dangerous weapon was issued for McReynolds. At about 4:15 p.m. Monday, McReynolds voluntarily surrendered and was placed in custody at the Enid Police Department.

The 18-year-old was booked in the Garfield County Detention Center on a complaint of assault with a dangerous weapons. Bond on the arrest warrant was set at $100,000.00.
