OKLAHOMA CITY – A man arrested on a murder complaint in September of last year and then let go after charges were dropped in May has been arrested again.
According to Oklahoma City police, Saul Becerra was arrested just after 10 p.m. Monday on an assault with a deadly weapon complaint for firing a gun into a house. No one was injured in the incident.
Becerra was accused of gunning down OCU student Bradley Wahnee while he was outside a friend's home last September. Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater said he had no choice but to drop charges against Saul Becerra after Oklahoma City police said incriminating information was collected before he was even considered a suspect or read his Miranda Rights. Oklahoma City police said that information cannot be used as evidence against Becerra.
"He was read his Miranda when he was a suspect. Prior to being a suspect he was not," said Oklahoma City Police Capt. Patrick Stewart.
Becerra is being held without bond at the Oklahoma County jail.
