Mother Faces First-Degree Murder Charges in 1-Year-Old's Death

The mother of a 1-year-old now faces a first-degree murder charge in the infant's death.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The mother of a 1-year-old now faces a first-degree murder charge in the infant's death.

According to police, officers responded Friday, April 30 to an unresponsive child in the 3000 block of S.W. 60th Street at about 8:40 p.m. Police said 1-year-old Onlabee Blane was transported to S.W. Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Police initially reported the infant's name as Blane Onlabee.

The State Medical Examiner's Office found that Blane suffered severe internal injuries that led to his death. 

Monday morning, Blane's mother, 28-year-old Brandy Perry, was interviewed by investigators from the Crimes Against Children Unit and was subsequently booked into the Oklahoma County jail on one count each of child abuse and first-degree murder.
