Home Invasion Suspect in Custody

OKLAHOMA CITY – A home invasion suspect is in custody after a police search in northwest Oklahoma City.

The man was taken into custody shortly before 1:30 p.m.

Police began searching the neighborhood near Northwest 63^rd Street and Lake Hefner Parkway after reports that at least two doors had been kicked in, Police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said.

Independence Charter School, 3232 N.W. 65^th Street, was locked down as officers look for the suspect, Wardlow said.
