NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Cleveland County Clerk Tammy Howard was arrested early Monday morning on a complaint of driving under the influence.
Cleveland County Undersheriff Rhett Burnett said a deputy saw Howard's car "spin out" near the intersection of 96th Street and Cemetery Road in Cleveland County at about 3 a.m.
The 42-year-old Howard was booked into jail and later bonded out. No charge has been filed at this time.
Norman attorney Steve Stice, who's representing Tammy Howard, said he believes the Cleveland County District Attorney, will recuse his office from her case. That means the Attorney General will handle the prosecution of her case.
Stice expects Howard will be charged with a misdemeanor DUI.
