Low pressure is producing showers and a few thunderstorms from the northern Great Lakes east into the parts of New England. Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are beginning to develop south through the Ohio River Valley to the Gulf Coast. Showers and thunderstorms are also extending into the southern sections of the Plains. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are beginning to develop through the central and the southern Rockies. Sunny to partly cloudy skies are spreading through much of the western U.S. with much of the cloud cover over the Pacific Northwest and the northern Rockies.
