A cold front is moved south through the Plains Wednesday, and brought colder air to Oklahoma Wednesday night. Thursday will feel noticeably cooler compared to Wednesday's warm afternoon in the 70s and 80s.
With clear skies and the colder, dry air in place, a freeze is expected Friday morning across most of the state. Temperatures are expected to fall into the upper teens and 20s. Oklahoma City should have the coldest low temperature so far this Fall, beating the 28 degrees set on November 16.
For the much-anticipated OU-Texas Tech football game Saturday night in Norman, temperatures will remain in the low 50s and upper 40s. Winds will be from the South at 10 to 20 mph.
