As promised, I'm checking the Fall foliage reports weekly for the progress of color change across the country! I flew through Cincinnati this weekend for a connection, and I was so excited to see some patchy color showing up there. Since we won't see our burst of Fall color until late October/early November, I'll take whatever early sneak-peaks I can get!
So here's the status as of September 25: lots of good Fall colors out West in the Rockies, and increasing change through the Upper Midwest and New England.
Last night driving home from work, I noticed one of the houses on my street is already fully decked for Halloween! It was a nice reminder of the change of season, especially since our weather seems to be ignoring the shorter days of early Fall. Our Indian Summer pattern looks like it will continue for about another week. I'm longing for the crisp, cool, crystal blue days of Fall...
