SAN MARCOS, Calif. (AP) - Oklahoma City University has its fourth straight national championship in women's golf after rallying from behind for the closest finish in NAIA history.
The Stars never led until the final day of the 72-hole tournament, finishing with a three-stroke advantage over Embry-Riddle of Florida. Oklahoma City University trailed by a single stroke heading into Friday's final round.
The closest final margin in tournament history had been four strokes.
Tournament host Cal State-San Marcos finished third, and British Columbia was fourth.
Shanna Page of Bethel (Ind.) won the individual title by shooting a 308 over the four-round tournament.
