Report: Oklahoma City not heart-friendly

A study by the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women rates Tulsa and Oklahoma City among the worst in the nation for the risk of heart disease among women.

Tulsa rates as third-worst in the nation and Oklahoma City is eighth.

Kim Cash with the Heart Association in Oklahoma City calls the results disappointing. Cash says it shows the problems of heart disease, smoking, obesity and the lack of health insurance.

The Birmingham-Hoover area in Alabama rates worst on the list followed by Lakeland, Fla.; Tulsa; Louisville, Ky.; and Toledo, Ohio.

The study found the most heart friendly city to be Salt Lake City.
