Oklahoma City will host the 3rd annual Latin American music festival, Viva Oklahoma City.
The festival will showcase Latin music, dance, art and food March 1 and 2. Free concerts will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 2 in the Hall of Mirrors at the Civic Center.
Del Castillo will be featured as the festival's featured performer. Tickets for the Del Castillo concert are available by phone at 297-2264 or myticketoffice.com.
Saturday, March 1, 8 p.m.: The OKC Philharmonic presents "Latin American Festival" in the Civic Center Music Hall, orchestral style Mariachi music.
Sunday, March 2, 1-5 p.m.: "Viva OKC Festival" in the Hall of Mirrors in the Civic Center. Activities will include children's arts and crafts, musical displays, bilingual reading, Latino musicians, traditional folkloric dance, live entertainment and food. Admission is free.
Sunday, March 5, 5 p.m.: Del Castillo concert
Saturday and Sunday, March 1-2, 2 p.m.: Showings of Robert Rodriguez. Del Castillo will make an appearance on Sunday at 2 p.m. to show and discuss his collaboration with Rodriguez.
