A criminal investigation is underway in Elgin after a teenager dies. The medical examiner says 16-year-old Dakota Johnson died of alcohol poisoning. His blood alcohol level was nearly five times the legal limit. Dakota was found unconscious in his backyard last October.

Police are still trying to figure out who gave the alcohol to the teen.
