Choctaw HS Teacher Accused Of Sexual Relationship With Student

A teacher at Choctaw High School has been arrested for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a student, Choctaw Police confirm.

According to Choctaw Police Chief Connie Clay, the suspect is 24-year-old Austin Quinton, a first-year teacher at the school and an assistant coach. He is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old female student.

Clay tells News 9 that most of the alleged encounters between Quinton and the student occurred outside of Choctaw, in the Oklahoma City metro area. Quinton was arrested at the high school some time Friday morning, and taken to Oklahoma City Police headquarters where he was questioned and later arrested on multiple counts of First-Degree Rape.

Oklahoma City Police are handling the investigation. So far they say there only appears to be one victim.
