It feels more and more like fall as temperatures begin to drop around the state.  From pumpkin patches, haunted houses, to costume parties and music festivals, there are plenty of events around Oklahoma to get you into the fall and Halloween spirit.

Pumpkin pies, pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin-scented candles, and who can forget carving a Jack-O-Lantern? No fall is complete without a pumpkin. You can pick out the perfect one at one of Oklahoma’s family-friendly pumpkin patches.

Many farms offer more than just picking up a pumpkin. They also have their own corn mazes.

Family-Friendly Halloween Attractions

For those with children, besides going trick-or-treating in your neighborhood, there are many attractions you and your family will all enjoy around the state.

• FrightFest at Frontier City in Oklahoma City. Oct. 2 - Oct. 31.
• Pumpkinville at Myriad Gardens in Oklahoma City. Oct. 9 - Oct. 25
• OKC’s Halloween Parade & Costume Party. It takes place at 7 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 31. at Automobile Alley. The parade will have a more family-friendly feel this year with children invited to participate in the parade.  Candy will be handed out by parade participants as they make their way down Automobile Alley.
• Boo On Bell in Shawnee. Central Oklahoma’s Largest Family Halloween Festival returns for its 17th year this October.  The festival will begin on Thursday evening, October 22 and continue through Saturday, October 24.
• Storybook Forest at Arcadia Lake.   Oct. 23 - Oct. 30  
• Downtown Edmond Old Fashioned Fall Festival. 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at Festival Marketplace, 30 West 1st Street, Edmond
• Magic Lantern Celebration on Paseo. 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 25 at Paseo Arts District NW 30th and Dewey.
• Haunt The OKC Zoo For Halloween. Oct. 26 –Oct. 31.

• Spell Bound-Cosmopolitan Halloween Exclusive. At Cosmopolitan OKC in Bricktown. Oct. 29 through Oct. 31.
• Valley Of The Dolls at Coyote Ugly Saloon in Oklahoma City, featuring giveaways, cash costume contest prizes and more.
• Trick Or Treat Bash at Candy Nightclub in Bricktown, featuring costume contest with $1,000 cash prize.
