A little boy apologized to Seminole police officers in his own way after he reportedly called 911 and lied that there was a bank robbery.

According to Seminole police, on Monday, an 8-year-old boy called 911 stating there was trouble at a local bank. Officers responded, but it turned out to be a hoax.

Police said the boy showed up to the station with two boxes of donuts and an apology letter. He apologized to the officers and dispatchers.

The apology letter reads, in part, "I called you and said there was a bank robbery, and I lied. And my punishment should be severe. And I'm so so sorry that I wasted your time."

Police learned that the boy also went to the bank and apologized to the employees there.
