Oklahoma Baptist had a season-low nine turnovers and defeated rival St. Gregory's 74-63 Tuesday night in OBU's Noble Complex.
OBU shot 47 percent from the field and led wire to wire as Charity Fowler opened with a three-pointer. A 13-4 run gave OBU a 16-6 lead at the 14:13 mark, getting six points inside from Zbeyda Aremi.
The Lady Cavaliers got as close as five points the rest of the half, but OBU had a 42-31 lead at halftime.
The OBU lead peaked at 65-47 as Aremi had a basket and Bretlin Gabelmann added a three-pointer in a 5-0 run that concluded at the 8:02 mark. SGU got no closer than nine from there.
Aremi led the Lady Bison with 20 points, followed by Fowler with 18, Janell Beacham with 13 and Jalissa Council with 10.
OBU out-rebounded the Lady Cavs 39-33, led by a nine-rebound effort by Diamond Austin, who also led the team with four assists. Allie Brandenburg had four steals to lead an 11-theft effort by the Lady Bison.
Now 13-11 overall and 6-7 in the Sooner Athletic Conference, the Lady Bison play at Mid-America Christian at 6 p.m., Thursday.
