Police are looking for the driver of a church bus after surveillance video catches it in a dangerous hit and run. That bus forced a motorcyclist off his bike and sent him to the hospital.
Victim Jeff Stokes was traveling south on Classen Blvd. when he says a church bus rolled out in front of him. Although it was an accident, Stokes says what happened next wasn't very Christian like.
Stokes was able to jump off his bike just before it hit the bus and dragged it about 30 yards.
"Looking at them going down the street, that's a helpless feeling," Stokes said.
Now, banged up from the wreck and just out of the hospital, Stokes is looking for answers. He is not sure which church the bus is from, but he is sure the driver knew something happened and just kept driving.
"When the bike hit the van, there was no doubt about it," Stokes said. "I hit it at 40 mph. How are you going to miss that?"
After the accident, about nine cars drove by Stokes before somebody stopped to help. Stokes says he hopes the video will help police find a suspect. In the meantime, as summer heats up, he is asking everyone to look out for motorcycles.
Stokes has some road rash and says he could be looking at a torn rotator cuff. If you recognize the bus, call police.
