OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police arrested a man accused of assault and shoplifting, but they are still seeking his female accomplice.
According to police, on November 28 the man and woman were seen at about 6:30 p.m. at the Walmart on 6100 W. Reno Avenue putting items into the woman's purse and attempting to leave without paying for the merchandise. Four loss-prevention employees approached the couple and the man pulled out a knife, threatening the employees. The employees backed away from the couple and the two left.
Through surveillance pictures, police were able to identify the male suspect as Derek Williams, 40, and arrested him Tuesday night.
Anyone with information as to the identity of the female suspect should call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
