Woman Allegedly Shot Over Boyfriend, Father of Child

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police said a 24-year-old woman was shot by a suspect in a passing vehicle while driving down Western Avenue near a 7-Eleven.

Police said Shaina Renea Andy pulled up next to the female victim's car and fired a shot hitting the woman in both arms. The woman then pulled into a 7-Eleven near Western Avenue and Hefner Road for help.

"It appears it may be a domestic type disturbance involving a boyfriend or child's father, and these two women have been having an ongoing disturbance over these types of issues," said Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Charles Phillips.

Andy fled the scene but was caught just blocks away a short time later.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. Her name has not been released.
