Officials: Will Rogers Airport Fully Functioning

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Will Rogers World Airport is back open, and there are plenty of travelers trying salvage their holiday plans. As of early Saturday evening, officials said the airport is fully functioning on only one runway.

Connections to parts of the U.S. that are currently being hit by the huge winter storm that left Oklahoma paralyzed on Friday may be greatly delayed or canceled.

It's best to check the status of your flight - and your connections - with the airline before heading to the airport.

Travelers were stuck at the airport when the storm hit and spent most of Christmas catching up on sleep.

Some arrived at the airport Friday in anticipation of enjoying a Christmas getaway only to be turned away. 

Despite airlines asking for tighter security after a terrorism scare on a Delta/Northwest flight on it's way from Amsterdam to Detroit Friday, officials at Will Rogers World Airport said there will be no changes to airport security checkpoints.
