"Hunting in Oklahoma has some very deep roots," Craighead said. "It's certainly a family tradition and a very easily learned family sport that, regardless of the gender or age, is something everybody can participate in."
Hunting is a great way to keep your freezer stocked full of various meats inexpensively. It's also a great way to support our local economy.
"The economic impact of what hunting does for Oklahoma is literally just staggering," Craighead said. "It's estimated that deer hunters alone, throughout the course of the year, contribute 500 million dollars to Oklahoma's economy, so without deer hunting, it's a totally different environment in this state."
