It has been almost six years since a Logan Tucker was last seen in Woodward County. There have been numerous searches for the young boy, and last year the boy's mother, Katherine Rutan, was convicted for his murder.
Despite the conviction, Logan's body was never found, leaving his grandmother to mourn the death of her grandson without a funeral.
"I just wish and I pray that she would just tell the truth of what happened," Henson said.
Now, Connie Henson, Logan's grandmother, has decided to give him a memorial service. The family has planned the service for Logan in Woodward as a way to honor a city that desperately wanted to find him.
"Same as Woodward has adopted Logan as their son, we have adopted Woodward as our family," Henson said. "To have him took away the way he was took away from us, that pain won't go away...It doesn't get any easier."
In September, the family will also plant a Silver Maple tree and place a plaque in Woodward for Logan.
The service will be held on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Crystal Beach Park in Woodward and is open to the public.
