Tulsa Police are investigating a deadly stabbing Thursday afternoon. Detectives said it started as a fight over a bicycle at Youth Services of Tulsa near 4th and Peoria.
Police said two men in their 20s got into a fight over the bike, and several people around jumped in to try to stop it. Police said the victim tried to run away from the area, but the suspect ran him down and stabbed him.
The suspect has been identified as Lance Gatzman.
EMSA rushed the victim to the hospital where he later died.
Officers quickly took Gatzman into custody around 7th and Norfolk. EMSA medics checked him out for injuries before police took him in for questioning.
"Patrol officers did a great job," said Sgt. Brandon Watkins, Tulsa Police. "They got out here, they got the suspect description out, and they were able to track him down pretty quickly."
Gatzman will be booked into jail on a complaint of first-degree murder. Police said they will release the name of the victim after family has been notified.
